So much of London is beyond recognition these days, but I'm always glad that Brick Lane never seems to change, staying properly multicultural, with Banglatown at one end, beigels at the other and a bunch of graffiti artists and wannabe hipsters hanging out in between.

But more importantly it's home to the behemoths of twentieth century art, Gilbert and George. They have had a massive influence on my work and in my opinion they are two of the greatest living artists in the world today. And since I've been recently studying artist's manifestos, I included their 1995 ten commandments in this piece.
