The American Carwash, Shoreditch, London
These pieces are about Shoreditch, where I used to live, which was once edgy and cool because it was inhabited by artists, but is now more likely to be populated by tourists visiting on graffiti sightseeing tours. Due to its location beside the City, much of this part of London is gradually being swallowed up by an ever advancing forest of skyscrapers, but it makes me vey happy that this building is still holding out as a last bastion of colourful defiance.
